FRÖTEK-Kunststofftechnik GmbH is pleased to announce the acquisition of the U.S.-based company McMinnville Tool & Die, Inc. (MTD), located in Tennessee. With this step, FRÖTEK continues to pursue its international growth strategy and strengthens its presence in the North American market.
MTD operates 18 modern injection moulding machines, with clamping forces ranging from 88 to 1,200 tons, and supplies several renowned customers in the automotive industry. Another important milestone: MTD was recently certified according to the international quality standard IATF 16949 – a significant achievement for process reliability and quality assurance in the automotive sector.
Local Expertise Meets Global Experience
Moving forward, Ryan Gannon and Thomas Johnen will jointly manage the site as General Managers.
- Ryan Gannon has been with MTD for 18 years and most recently oversaw the company’s entire operations. His in-depth knowledge and long-standing experience make him a key pillar for the site and a valuable asset to the FRÖTEK Group.
- Thomas Johnen has been part of FRÖTEK for 14 years and played a key role in implementing corporate structures and processes across several international subsidiaries. To best support the local integration, he will relocate to Tennessee with his family next year.
Shaping the Future Together
With the acquisition of MTD, FRÖTEK lays the foundation for an even stronger customer focus in North America. The combination of local expertise, global experience, and strong support from the FRÖTEK Group creates ideal conditions to further develop existing structures and drive sustainable growth.
This acquisition represents an important milestone in FRÖTEK’s international development – and a clear commitment to strengthening its global production and service network in the long term.
We warmly welcome the entire MTD team to the FRÖTEK family and look forward to a successful future together.
